At the crossroads between three continents and four seas, Oman has always been a strategic country at the tip of the Arabian gulf, with a great maritime history, symbolized by the adventures of Sinbad the Sailor. An enchanting land, home to an ancient civilization, already mentioned in Mesopotamian texts of five thousand years ago. Its inhabitants lived in the desert and the sea taking advantage of the natural resources, building forts and Palaces, Castles, walls and boats agile and fast. Ruled by one of the oldest dynasties in the region, is now also one of the most peaceful countries in the Gulf with a population proud of its traditions and famous for its hospitality.
Day 01 – Muscat – Coastal Road - Sur
Our guide will meet you at your hotel in Muscat at 0830hrs to begin your journey along the coastal road towards Sur. Along the way, you will stop at Bimmah Sinkhole, a stunning example of karst topography. Then we take you to Wadi Shab, a gorge nestled between cliffs. Afterwards, you will visit the dhow yards in Sur and might see the traditional craft of dhow-making by hand. Finally, we will drop you off at your hotel, allowing you to relax and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

After early dinner you proceed towards to Ras Al Jinz to observe the nesting habits of green turtles in Ras al jinz beach. Return to Hotel after the tour.
Day 02 – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba Sands - Nizwa
Breakfast at the Hotel. By 08:30 am, you embark on your tour towards Wadi Bani Khalid the Lost Shangri La. Starting off at the village with its date plantation. The pool is cool, deep and absolutely stunning with clear water. Then drive to the undulating Golden sands of the Wahiba Desert.
The great Wahiba sands are longitudinal dunes 200 KM’s long and 100 KM’s wide running south from the Eastern Hajars to the Arabian Sea. This is the traditional home of the Bedouin, hardy spirited people who know how to survive in these harsh desert conditions. You are invited to meet with a Bedouin family and gain an intimate insight into their traditional lifestyle. (Lunch at optional cost)
You then proceed to Nizwa, the old capital of Oman. You visit the souk showcasing a wonderful array of handicrafts - coffee pots, swords, leather goods, silverware, antiques, and household utensils. We drop you at your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 03 – Nizwa – Misfat Al Abrein - Muscat
Breakfast at the Hotel. You leave the Hotel at 08:30 am and visit Nizwa fort, which completed in the 1650's, was the seat of power during the rule of the Al Ya'ruba dynasty and is Oman's most visited National monument. You then drive towards Bahla, the oldest recorded region of civilization in Oman.
Photo stop at the huge loam fort. The forts main feature is its 7-mile-long walls which were patrolled by sentries’ night and day. Bahla is also known as the pottery capital of Oman. Because of its cultural value, Bahla is placed in the UNESCO’s list of heritage monuments. (Lunch at optional cost)
From here it is a short distance to the mighty bastion of Jabrin and the crown seat of the Yaruba Dynasty. You will then proceed to Misfat Al Abrein, a picturesque village strapped on to the side of a mountain. As you walk around this beautiful village where time has come to a standstill, you will be moved by the simplicity and friendliness of the people. You then proceed back to Muscat and we drop you off at your hotel in Muscat approximately around 1700Hrs.

Dress Code During Tours
Swimming in Wadis – Wadis are a popular tourist spot for both locals and tourists. Women are advised to wear clothing that covers up to the knees, while T-shirts and shorts are acceptable. However, bikinis are not recommended.
Trekking - Take as little as possible as conditions are usually steep and hot. Trekking shoes and light-coloured clothes are advisable.
During other tours – Dress in smart casuals, especially when visiting local villages and interacting with the locals.
